Setting up your mobile site can be as easy or as complicated as you want it to be.

By default the automated mobile site will be generated from your "area a (main content)" and your Site Menu.

If the automatically generated mobile site doesn't include certain aspects of your site you wish to include in the mobile site you can completely customize it.

In this area you will see how to customize:

NOTES:

  • To enable the mobile site, you can contact Support and ask them to enable the mobile version for you.
  • If you do wish to customize your site, you can have it enabled by Support.  And then work on the mobile version and keep track of progress in "Preview".  The new mobile version will be live with the next publish.  be sure when viewing the preview, that you save your current changes, then click preview on your desktop in the members area.  Then on your mobile device view http://YourDomain.com/preview

  • If you have a .mobi version of your site, the new mobile site will automatically direct users to the .mobi url on their mobile devices.  This is helpful if you want to preview changes on your mobile version without pulling out your mobile device.  You would just pull up http://YourDomain.mobi/Preview in your destop or laptop's browser.

  • Visitor tracking is disabled in mobile mode to save network traffic and battery. It involves a request to the server every 15 seconds which may not be desirable on mobile devices.
